As the House and Senate reconvene in Washington for a final week before the extended holiday break, the looming fate of expiring Affordable Care Act subsidies will dominate discussions once more.
The House is anticipated to vote on the Republicans’ health care plan, alongside an amendment to extend ObamaCare subsidies. In the Senate, attention will shift to the NDAA, which advanced through the House last week.
Numerous legislators are already preparing for another potential government shutdown in January, as talks on health care have stalled and the December recess draws near.
On Monday, Trump is set to attend a Mexican Border Defense medal ceremony and later host several Christmas receptions at the White House.
