Get ready, Capitals fans! You have a fantastic opportunity to meet some of the team's legends while supporting a great cause. On Saturday, December 6th, several former and current hockey stars will be participating in a public autograph signing. This event is part of the 13th annual Toys For Tots drive at Prince Frederick Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM in Maryland.
The lineup includes injured Washington Capitals center, Pierre-Luc Dubois, alongside Brooks Orpik, a 2018 Stanley Cup champion and current Capitals player development coach, and Mike Green, the last Capitals defenseman to score 30 or more goals.
The signing is scheduled from 1 pm to 3 pm. But here's where it gets exciting: before the Capitals players, former Orioles Nick Markakis and Jim Johnson will also be signing autographs from 11 am to 1 pm.
To get access to the Capitals players' signing, you have a couple of options: you can bring 3 new, unwrapped toys (valued at $20 or more each), or donate $75 in cash. For the Orioles players, you'll need 2 new toys (also $20+ each) or a $50 cash donation.
Wristbands for the signings will be distributed starting at 9 am.
Over the years, the dealership has hosted many prominent Capitals players, including Nicklas Backstrom, Braden Holtby, John Carlson, TJ Oshie, Devante Smith-Pelly, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Logan Thompson, and Connor McMichael.
A quick note on Pierre-Luc Dubois: He's only played in 6 games this season and underwent surgery to repair his abdominal and adductor muscles. His recovery is expected to take 3 to 4 months.
