Get ready, Star Wars fans! Disneyland is about to get a whole lot more epic. Imagine strolling through Galaxy's Edge and bumping into Luke Skywalker himself! That's right, the original Star Wars characters are joining the adventure, and it's a game-changer.
Starting April 29th, Disneyland is expanding the timeline within Galaxy's Edge, bringing in iconic figures from the original trilogy (1977-1983). Prepare to see Luke, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and more roaming the streets of Batuu. But here's where it gets exciting: the immersive experience will also feature the legendary musical scores composed by John Williams, instantly transporting you into the heart of the Star Wars universe.
This expansion means Galaxy's Edge will now encompass the Galactic Civil War, the New Republic, the Age of the Resistance, and the First Order. Disney promises the same level of detail and storytelling that made the land so captivating in the first place, seamlessly blending stories from different eras. The land, which opened in 2019, already boasts a life-size Millennium Falcon, so this is just the icing on the cake.
This move comes at a crucial moment for both the Star Wars franchise and Disney. With The Mandalorian and Grogu movie hitting theaters on May 22nd, and the anticipation around CEO Bob Iger's successor, Disney is clearly aiming to keep the force strong.
What do you think about this blending of timelines? Is it a welcome addition, or do you prefer the focus to remain on a specific era? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
